Retention is a property of each node, not of the chain. A Solana node reports the lowest confirmed slot still in its ledger through getFirstAvailableBlock; a regular TON liteserver does not store the entire block history; Stellar RPC keeps a default of 120,960 ledgers. Requests outside the window fail or return nothing, depending on the method.
