In more detail
The raw balance returned by balanceOf() stays fixed through corporate actions. The ratio between token and underlying lives in uiMultiplier(), an ERC-8056 value with 18 decimals in which 1e18 means 1.0, so share-equivalent units are raw amount × uiMultiplier ÷ 1e18. The contracts also expose balanceOfUI(), totalSupplyUI(), and a scheduled change through newUIMultiplier() and effectiveAt().
Over JSON-RPC a Stock Token reads like any other token: eth_call for balanceOf() and uiMultiplier(), eth_getLogs or a logs subscription for transfers. Each movement emits a standard Transfer event followed by a TransferWithScaledUI event carrying the multiplied value, so a filter that lists both event topics receives every movement twice. Each token has a Chainlink price feed whose price already includes the multiplier; applying uiMultiplier() to that price counts the corporate action twice.
A Stock Token is not the underlying share. Per the issuer, Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited, it grants no legal or beneficial rights in the underlying securities, is not registered under U.S. securities laws and may not be offered, sold or delivered in the United States or to U.S. persons, and offers are restricted in other jurisdictions, including Canada, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Canonical contract addresses are on the issuer's Token Contracts page; a token with a matching name at another address is not a Stock Token.
