How Chainstack counts usage

Request units (RU): 1 RU per full-node request, 2 RU per archive-node request, the same on every chain. 1 request unit per full-node request, 2 per archive-node request: the spread is the node type, not the method. (source, read )

Cost of 1M calls = units per call × Chainstack's published price per unit. Unit prices come from the Plans table above:

  • Growth: $49 ÷ 20M RU = $2.45 per 1M RU, if the whole allowance is used.
  • Growth: $15 per 1M RU above the allowance.
Chainstack: units per call and $ per 1M calls
CallUnits per call$ per 1M calls inside Growth ($49 ÷ 20M RU)$ per 1M calls at Growth rate ($15 per 1M RU)
Full-node request (any method, any chain)1 RU1 × $2.45 = $2.451 × $15 = $15
Archive-node request (any method, any chain)2 RU2 × $2.45 = $4.902 × $15 = $30

Streams and how they are billed

Yellowstone gRPC add-on: 2, 7 or 25 streams for $49, $149 or $449/month, plus an eligible Global Nodes plan. (source, read )
