How Triport Indexer works

Learn how Triport Indexer follows Solana launches using its own validator stream and RPC, tracks bonding curves and migrations, and stores chart history.

Where the data comes from

Triport receives Solana activity through its own Yellowstone gRPC stream from validators and uses its own Solana RPC for chain reads. The live stream is processed at Solana's processed commitment: activity has been observed by a validator, but this is not a promise of final confirmation.

Indexer recognizes events from the protocols it covers and turns them into token listings, trades and migration records. Live data can be incomplete while metadata or additional account information is still being loaded. There is no guarantee that every token or event will be visible.

For developers who want to understand the underlying Solana interfaces, see the Solana RPC overview, transaction lookup and Yellowstone gRPC guide.

How a new token appears

When Indexer observes a recognized token-creation event, it can add the token to the launch feed. Trading events provide price and activity information. Token metadata supplies names, images and social links when available; those fields can arrive later or remain unavailable.

A ticker or image is not a unique identity. Compare the mint address when researching a token or opening a chart.

What is a bonding curve?

A bonding curve is a launch mechanism where a token's trading price follows a rule as tokens are bought and sold. Instead of starting in a conventional liquidity pool, the token trades against the launchpad's curve.

Curve progress indicates how far a launch has moved toward that protocol's graduation threshold. It is not a probability of success. Different launchpads have different rules, and not every token or DEX pool has a bonding curve. If progress is unavailable, do not interpret the missing value as 0%.

What is migration?

Migration, also called graduation, is the transition from a launch curve to trading in a liquidity pool. For example, pump.fun launches can migrate to PumpSwap, and Meteora DBC pools can graduate to DAMM v2. The destination depends on the protocol.

Indexer records observed migration activity and shows it in the Migrated column of Trenches. A completed curve does not by itself prove that a destination pool is already usable; check the observed migration and current trade route. Migration does not guarantee liquidity, safety or a rising price.

Candles and history

Candles summarize observed trading over a time interval. Triport stores candle data and history so charts can include earlier observations alongside live updates.

History reflects what was captured and retained. A new listing may have little history; a missing stream interval, an unrecognized event or unavailable price can leave a chart incomplete. A blank chart is not proof that no trades happened, and an unchanged candle is not proof that a trade can execute at that price.

Use Trenches to read the live cards, Trading to understand execution settings, and Portfolio to interpret your recorded trades.
