eth_getBalance — return an account balance at a block. The published signature and response shape come from the measured Robinhood OpenRPC contract (chain ID 4663).

The native ETH balance at a chosen block. For token balances call the token contract with eth_call; this method never reads ERC-20 state. A historical block only answers above the measured archive floor — block 55,782,445 on the earliest channel, 56,772,445 on another (direct-channel measurement, September 2026).

Errors

See Robinhood errors. Invalid parameters return a JSON-RPC parameter error; authentication and rate-limit failures use the shared client error contract. Unknown failures are returned without an implicit retry.
